Impartiality Policy
Top Management Commitment
The AviationLAB OÜ (hereinafter as the LAB) top management ensures that the LAB is operated in a manner to safeguard objectivity and impartiality in delivering approved services in a non-discriminatory manner.
Members of the Language Assessment Body
All LAB personnel, and contractors involved in the delivery of certification services:
- Shall act objectively and be free from any undue commercial, financial or other pressures that could compromise impartiality, and
- Are under a continual obligation to disclose potential conflicts of interest.
Decision on Certification
Decisions on certification shall be made by an appropriately qualified rater.
Operation of the Language Assessment Body
The LAB shall not offer or provide any service that impacts its impartiality. The LAB does not provide consultancy, or any other services that pose a risk to impartiality. The LAB shall not suggest that certification would be simpler, easier, faster, or less expensive if any specified person or consultancy was used.
Ensuring Confidence
The certification body follows the principles that ensure confidence in the operation of the LAB. These principles include:
- Impartiality,
- Competence,
- Responsibility,
- Openness,
- Privacy,
- Responding to complaints.
Compliance Management System
The LAB monitors conformance to this Impartiality Policy through administration of its compliance management system, including its process for managing risks.
